Webflow’s pricing can be a bit of a minefield. With 15(!) different plans available, it’s not always easy to figure out which one is best for your project.
To help make the decision a little easier, we’ve put together this Webflow pricing guide. Read on to learn how to pick the right plan for your Webflow site.
Webflow Pricing: What You Need to Know
Webflow’s paid plans can be divided into two categories: Site plans (you’ll need one of these if you want to host your site on Webflow and use a custom domain), and Workspace plans (for freelancers, agencies and teams who need multiple projects). Site plans start at $14 USD/month for a Basic plan (or $29 USD/month for a Standard Ecommerce plan), while the cheapest Workspace plan, Core, costs $19/month for up to 10 projects. However, regardless of your needs, a good place to start would be with the free Starter plan, which allows for up to 2 published pages.

Webflow Site Plans
These Webflow plans are best suited to those who need a single, published website - whether that’s a blog, business website, or online store. Sites will be hosted with Webflow (unlike with Workspace plans - see the Webflow Workspace plans section below for more information). You’ll also be able to use a custom domain, e.g. www.yoursite.com - one of the key differences between a website on a Site plan vs Workspace plan (more on that below).
The differences between the Site plans lie mainly in the storage and traffic limits, as well as the features available - the more you pay, the more you get.
Let’s start by checking out the Site plans that cover blogs, personal sites and business websites - that is, any kind of website that’s not an ecommerce site.

Each of the paid plans allows for up to 100 pages. They also include backups and version control, SSL certificates, password-protected pages, custom code, and advanced SEO settings.
* Collection items are the items stored in the CMS database. For instance, blog articles are categorized as collection items (rather than individual web pages that go toward the 100-page limit), as each article uses the same underlying structure/template, and its content can be pulled from a CMS collection.
Note that there’s also an Enterprise plan for very large sites, in case you need over 400GB of bandwidth, extra editors, custom SLAs, and enterprise-level support (including training and onboarding). The pricing for this is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Each plan also includes:
- Customizable checkout, shopping cart, product fields and emails (note - emails on the Standard plan will include Webflow branding in the footer)
- Stripe-powered payments (with the ability for customers to pay via Apple Pay and Paypal)
- Automatic tax calculations
- Integrations with Google Shopping, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Facebook and Instagram (plus the ability to embed custom code)
- The ability to set up manual shipping rules
Webflow Workspace Plans
If you’re a freelancer or agency building a website for someone else, or an in-house team working on multiple website properties, it’s likely you’ll need an account that lets you set up multiple projects - and that’s where the Workspace (formerly known as Account) plans come in handy.
These plans let you build a website, and either:
- Leave it as an ‘unhosted’ project - that is, a website that is not published (ideal if you’re still working on the site). However, it is possible to export some of the code and host it elsewhere.
- Publish it on a staging site using a Webflow subdomain - e.g. yoursite.webflow.io. These are ideal for sharing with clients in order to gather feedback and make changes prior to going live. Note that a ‘Made in Webflow’ badge will also be displayed on the site while you’re still published on the Webflow subdomain.
It’s important to know that Workspace plans won’t let you use a custom domain. To do that, you’ll need to purchase an additional Site plan for each site you want to publish.
Alternatively, you can use these plans to export the code and host your site elsewhere - however, you’ll lose the ability to use Webflow’s CMS collection features for blogs, store products, forms, etc. This option is therefore really only useful for smaller, simpler sites that don’t use Webflow’s CMS features.
There are several plans to choose from, depending on the number of projects you need, the features required, and whether you need to share access with other team members. And, there are even different plans for in-house vs outsourced teams (e.g. freelancers or agencies) - so let's check out the plans for in-house teams first.

With each plan, you also get:
- The ability to bill clients directly from within Webflow (plus add your own fees)
- Unlimited hosted projects (published on the webflow.io subdomain) - only projects that aren’t hosted go toward the plan’s limit
- On the paid Workspace plans, you’ll be able to transfer projects to anyone with a Webflow account (such as clients or other team members)
An Enterprise account plan is also available should you need any custom team features - you’ll need to get in touch with Webflow directly to negotiate the pricing for this.
Which Webflow Plan Should I Choose?
Regardless of the type of site you’re building, or whether you’re a freelancer / agency / building it for yourself, we suggest trying out the free Starter plan to see if you like Webflow (you’ll automatically start with this plan when you sign up).
You’ll be able to create a site with a maximum of 2 static pages and 50 CMS items (e.g. blog posts, portfolio pages). This will give you a good feel for the platform, and whether it fits your requirements.
You’ll also be able to publish your site using a Webflow subdomain. In fact, if you want to keep your site on the free plan (and don’t mind not using your own domain or having a Webflow badge displayed), this is a good option to stick with.
If, however, you want to use your own domain, build additional sites or unlock advanced features, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan. As we’ve detailed above, it’s best to choose:
- A Site plan if you need a published website with a custom domain. We’d recommend:
- The Basic plan if your site is small
- The CMS plan for blogs
- The Business plan for sites that will receive over 100,000 monthly visits
- The Ecommerce Standard plan for small stores (<$50k in annual revenue)
- The Ecommerce Plus plan for mid-sized stores (<$200k in annual revenue)
- The Ecommerce Advanced plan for stores with over $200k in annual revenue
- A Workspace plan if you will be building more than two sites. We’d recommend:
- The Core plan for up to 10 unhosted projects (or the equivalent Freelancer plan)
- The Growth plan if you need more than 10 unhosted projects and up to 9 users (or the equivalent Agency plan)
Remember, sites built with Workspace plans can only be published using a Webflow subdomain. If you want to use a custom domain, you’ll need to either a) purchase additional Site plans, or b) export the code (minus any Webflow CMS content, e.g. blogs and portfolios) and host it elsewhere.
Are There Any Additional Costs?
Unlike CMSs such as WordPress, Webflow won’t require you to purchase additional plugins to get important features to work (e.g. visual editor, SEO, form builders, site backups). These are all baked into the platform, and are ready to start using straight away.
The exception is if you need more advanced features that require integration with paid software (e.g. members areas, live chat, appointment tools) - the prices of these will obviously vary depending on the tool, and your requirements.
On Site plans, the cost of hosting is also included in the monthly price, so you won’t see any extra charges for that.
However, the following costs aren’t included in any of the Webflow plans, and need to be taken into account:
- Domain name: While Site plans allow you to use a custom domain, they don’t come included with the domain name itself. You can either purchase these through Webflow (from either Google or GoDaddy), or connect your Webflow site to a domain purchased through another registrar. To give you an indication of price, a .com domain name from a registrar like Namecheap will set you back around $15/year.
- Templates: The beauty of Webflow is that you can build a website completely from scratch, without the use of any template (which sets it apart from other competitors such as Squarespace). If, however, you do want to use a template, Webflow does offer a handful of free options, plus a wider library of premium templates. These range from $19 - $149.
- Hosting for sites on Workspace plans: As we’ve said, if you choose to use a Workspace plan and would like to export your site and host it elsewhere, you will need to find a hosting provider. The prices for decent providers start at $4 to $5 a month.
Webflow Pricing: Conclusion
Webflow is often marketed as an easier-to-use alternative to WordPress - so it stands to reason that its plans would cater to both end users and freelancers/agencies alike.
In providing so many options, however, the end result can be a little confusing for someone trying to pick the right plan. Hopefully, this guide has helped to make things a little clearer.
